Absolute Poker to Pay Players Back Shortly

Since the seizure by the United States authorities of the domains of popular US facing online poker sites which included Ultimate Bet (UB.com), Absolute Poker, Full Tilt Poker and Poker Stars, most players at these sites have been fighting an unsuccessful battle to see the return of their money.

Despite the fact that players at Poker Stars have already been paid out most of the money due to them, Full Tilt Poker players fear that they may not be successful in accessing their cash for a very long time.

Players at online poker sites Absolute Poker and UB.com which are licensed by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission have also not yet had their money paid out to them.

However, Absolute Poker and UB.com players may be in for a pleasant surprise as, according to a press release issued by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission, the Commission has been in close and regular discussion with Blanca Games, the parent company for the two online poker sites and is currently moving in the direction of seeing players being reimbursed for the first time since Black Friday, when the domains were seized.

The Kahnawake Gaming Commission has revealed that an agreement has been reached with Blanca Games and the proposal is now waiting for approval from the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York which is handling the cases against the two online poker sites. The proposal appears to include plans to liquidate UB.com and Absolute Poker.

The Kahnawake Gaming Commission’s statement has been welcomed by online poker players who have been kept in the dark for too long.
