Cryptologic Strikes Another Deal

Following on Cryptologic’s announcement on Tuesday that it had signed an agreement with Totesport, yet another announcement was made on Wednesday that it had signed a deal with Centrebet. Cryptologic appears to be signing agreements at an amazing pace as this is the seventh such agreement it has signed since the beginning of June 2009.

Cryptologic’s partnerships with gaming software solution platforms is known as a “build-once-license-often” business strategy.

In a one time effort, Cryptologic integrates a few of its games into that platform and then signs separate agreements in order to license the games to all the licensees of that platform.

The agreement with Centrebet is a multiyear agreement with Cryptologic offering no less than ten of its branded as well as unbranded online slot games to Centrebet. The first few games will be launched on Centrebet’s web site by the third quarter of 2009 and the balance by the fourth quarter of 2009.

There is a big demand for the branded games in Cryptologic’s portfolio by players at online casinos not powered by Cryptologic. Once the games are placed on Centrebet’s web site it will generate revenue and Cryptologic will get a share of this.

Centrebet operates through Orbis Technology. This is not the first time that Cryptologic has entered into agreements with customers of Orbis Technology and Centrebet and Totesport are the latest of these.

Centrebet, which was launched in 1992 focuses on sports betting and horse racing and also offers the latest online poker and casino products.

Cryptologic’s has gained popularity with its “build-once-license often” business strategy and is planning to enter into many more such agreements in the near future.
